    Very confused about cardio exercise for weight loss? I want to loose weight as quickly as possible. I’ve the time to spend in the gym. What I’m confused about is the amount of time vs. Intensity on doing cardio exercise? Some say an hour at a less intensity while others are saying that it would be better to do only 1/2 hour with a very high intensity. Which is it?

    There's a form of cardio called HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), and it's the most effective when it comes to losing weight. Basically the idea is to light jog/speed walk for 1-2 minutes then run at full speed for about thirty seconds and repeat, of course warm up with light jogging five minutes at the beginning and cool down with five minutes of light jogging at the end. Gradually decrease the resting time (eg from two minutes to 1) and increase the full speed time (eg from thirty secs to 45). Keep doing that for 20-30 minutes. This is considered the best form of cardio nowadays because even though it might not burn as many calories as running for an hour, the constant change of speed will boost your metabolism for the next day or 2 (pretty much like weight training does) which means that your body will burn more calories during that period.

    Effective stomach weightloss exercise? I'm ten stone, but my BMI says for my height that I should be around 9.5 stone. Does anyone have any suggestions as to some exercises that can help me lose weight but also tighten my stomach? I can't get to a gym so I don't have access to things like spinning machines and such, so does anyone have any tips that I can do around the house or whatnot? All help is appreciated But don't suggest buying any machinery because I can't afford it ;)

    Here is what you need to do if you’re serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat six small meals a day about every four hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Lose weight) and you’ll have more energry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That’s why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads) in one and protein (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have any or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming,running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions,pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross country skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension) (YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull,leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. So your body doesnt go into starvation mode, YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stick with this you’ll have a great body. Also drink a least 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonalds, Wendys, etc because there is nothing good for you on the menus – even the salads are bad (bacon bits, cheese, dressing, etc) Good Luck :)

    Questions on weightloss/exercise? 1) if I burnt eight hundred calories walking and ate 1800 calories a day for 7 days would I lose two lb of pure fat or would some of that be muscle or water weight? 2)if while doing this I ate lots of protein and some carbs n fat and also worked my abs chest and arms would I gain muscle while lossing fat? 3)what would my results be in my abs/chest area if my weight is 110 lb and I'm 11to13% body fat right now if I did it for a couple weeks? I’ve a visible six pack but it looks kinda like there's some fat kinda over it.
