Is there an iPod app to track diet & exercise? Something I can record what I eat, exercise, weight loss, add notes, stuff like that? Thought there would be apps like that. Not sure. Any ones free would be cool but fine If not. Thanks in advance :D

Good diet and exercise plan for post-op ftm? I know I still have a month till i can really start working out, but I like to plan. Okay so I'm twenty and I’ve been on Testosterone since September 1st 2010, and I just had chest surgery May 23, 2011. Everything looks and is healing great!!! But once I can exercise its down to business, but I just don't know where to start. I’ll definitely be doing a lot of jogging, I had a six month old Shiba Inu -.- who I think has caffeine instead of blood running through his veins. So any dog related workouts would be great! And for diet just give me some simple guidelines =]. I'm a little short so I wanna make up for it with a good looking body, 5'5 1/2″ =[ any advice would be greatly welcome. Also any other Dr. Perry Johnson ftm patients out there? I'd love to see post op pictures I'm healing great!.

I'm not FtM, (just a plain “F” here), so I don't really have any personal experience. But I know of this one awesome forum that has a LOT of trans guys! And they're very nice and helpful! I'm sure they'll know much more about this than I do. Many of them have had top surgery too. :) So I'll just link you. Here you go: =)

How does this diet and exercise change sound? Any helpful suggestions? I intend to change my diet and exercise habits forever in a bid to become thin once again! I'll just preface this by saying food holds not a great deal of importance to me beyond fuel for this lump of flesh I'm trapped inside, but while I'm trapped inside it I may as well look fabulous! A change in diet is easy enough, no matter how dramatic… -Absolute minimum amount of fat. -Absolute minimum about of sugar. -Absolutely no saturated fats EVER, not even a single gram. -Target to walk one and a half hours a day (three half-hour increments?), with an absolute minimum of half an hour a day. No excuses -Eat small, frequent meals (a minimalist diet including things like, rice, veg, fish, eggs, etc.). -Big fattening meals and desserts, etc, to only be enjoyed very occasionally. -Total ban on chocolate, sweets, and any products containing processed vegetable fats. (Chocolate cake exceptions: Birthdays and Christmases XD ) -Never to set foot inside a fast food restaurant again. -Drink nothing but water and occasionally good wine. ;) -Drink 2 or 2 and a half litres of water a day, no excuses. Anything to add…?

Don't be so tough on yourself! It's not good for you to put the stress of such a strict diet into your life. You would just give up after two weeks and binge! Just eat plenty of veggies and drink lots of cold water. Try jogging for half an hour, rather than walking for ninety minutes. My first jog, I took thirty minutes to jog three miles. Walking is boring, and you'll lose interest in it quickly. This is a lot to take on. If you just wake up one day and begin this diet and exercise regimen, it’ll be almost impossible. You need to gradually get yourself used to this plan.

Exercise and Diet Questions? I'm trying to lose thirty lbs from my five foot 6ish 160lbs frame by June 2012. I think I’ve an outline of how I'm going to do it. DIET: 1. Around 1500 calories a day. (I'm not gonna obssessivly count though, just estimate) 2.Eat at least 4-5 servings of fruits and veggies a day. 3.Eat 5-6 small meals a day so I'm never starving. 4. Most importantly, I won't deprive myself. I'll try and make healthy choices, but if I want a cookie once in a while, thats fine..it won't kill me. EXERCISE: 1. Try and get an hour or more of exercise a day. 2. Wake up a little earlier and get maybe 15-20 of stretching, yoga, and situps to get my blood flowing. 3. Get some exercise after dinner: a walk, an exercise routine, playing catch, SOMETHING. 4. Keep playing softball, which I've LOVED since age 5. GENERAL: 1.Stay positive. 2.Tell myself: I’m BEAUTIFUL. 3. Don't forget to treat myself once in a while! 4.Reward myself (NOT WITH FOOD): five lbs lost? New nail polish. Fifteen lbs lost? New book. And so on until June 2012 when I reach my goal weight (hopefully!): DREAM 8TH GRADE GRADUATION DRESS. 5. Weigh myself only once a week. 6. Most importantly: Love yourself. I'm always gonna be curvy, it's just the way my body is.. And there's a lot more to me than my weight. So my question is: Are these good ideas? If you could adress all numbers (EX: Diet: 1. 2. 3.) that would be great! And do you think I can meet my goal? Thank you so much in advance!

Cost-effectiveness of diet and exercise interventions – Nature.com. Diet and exercise interventions to reduce obesity are potentially cost-effective but have a negligible impact on the total body

    - I'm trying to lose thirty lbs First, be sure you even need to. Weight is a very poor metric because bones, muscle, and fat all have different densities (fat being the lightest). The correct metric is the percentage of body fat. You can lose fat, look better, and not lose any weight. See your doctor to determine your current percentage and what your ideal percentage of fat should be. Note: The “see your doctor” part is important. And please see a real MD, not some quack like a naturopath. – DIET Diets to lose fat don't work because the body goes into a kind of starvation mode where it squirrels away every spare calorie as fat and will cannibalize bone and muscle tissue for energy. Fat reduction takes time. There are no miracle pills or methods regardless of any anecdotes, celebrity endorsements, or late night TV shows you may have seen or heard. 1500 calories is right on the borderline of starvation. Eating balanced meals as recommended in the Harvard Eating Pyramid and exercising at your target heart rate is the best way to reduce the percentage of body fat. – EXERCISE If you exercise enough the hypothalamus will regulate both appetite and fat percentage. It has to be the correct kind of exercise though. The kind that trains your body to burn fat rather than sugar. Any exercise that’s performed at your target heart rate for an extended period will burn fat. Walking, cycling, and rowing are some of the best. Use a pulse meter to ensure that you’re exercising at the correct intensity. Too intense and you just burn sugar, not fat. – GENERAL Looks good. You might want to look into some counseling to improve your self-image. Even so, there are techniques such as meditation, misogi, and chinkon that can help form a positive mind-set.

Does my diet and exercise regimen sound good? Okay, just so you know I'm thirteen. But my family has a history of obesity and problems relating to obesity. I don't want to be over weight, I want to be as fit as I’m now. And I don't want diabetes, or high-blood sugar when I get older, I want to be fit. So don't say I’m too young to be worrying about things like this. Because I think I'm doing this for a good cause. But I’ve to give up my addiction to sweets and soda and ice cream, don't I? Here's what I'm thinking of doing as soon as I get better from this cold: Diet; Breakfast; one cup of fruit. A tall glass of water or orange juice. A muffin with a thin spread of butter Snack: A vegetable Lunch; A grilled chicken salad with lots of water. And a cup greek yogurt Snack: A fruit Dinner: Grilled chicken, steak, and rice. I also drink a glass of milk every night because it helps me sleep :P (P.S. I didn't add too much to the food because I don't like to eat too much. I feel sick if I eat too much XP) Exercise plan for the week Monday; Ballet, a mile and walking/running with my dogs. Push ups and crunches/side crunches. Tuesday: A sport like basketball, soccer and walking/running with my dogs. Push ups and crunches/side crunches. Wednesday: A mile and walking/running with my dogs. Push ups and crunches/side crunches. Thursday: A sport and walking/running with my dogs. Push ups and crunches/side crunches. Friday: A mile and walking/running with my dogs. Push ups and crunches/side crunches. I'm open to any suggestments. Did I include all of the food groups in my diet? Do I’ve to give up sweets, soda and ice cream altogether? Do I’ve enough exercise? And I won't stick to the meal plan like that, I'll mix it up. But thats what I’ll most likely eat. Also is what I'm eating too little?
